I am an Irish artist and illustrator. I've designed album covers and layout for Extreme Noise Terror, Steve Ignorant, Phobia, Coldwar, Raw Noise, Abaddon Incarnate, Riistetyt, Coitus, Rattus and many more.
I also write for CVLT Nation and Profane Existence. Currently trying to write and illustrate a book on Irish mythology. Where I live is by an ancient burial mound in the mountains, which is a constant source of inspiration. If your looking for any artwork or layout design done get in touch.
This is a blog of ramblings, artwork, music, homesteading/permaculture, DIY ethic and the mundane.
AHNA are a force to be reckoned with, combining elements of sludge metal, grind, death metal, crust, with a heavy dose of anti-authoritarian politics. They have never fallen into any trend or relive-the-past nonsense. AHNA are truly doing their own thing, making a hell of a lot of noise, and keeping it super real. Profane is proud to be a part of their new split 12″ with Winnipeg crusties…
Has anyone been watching the series ‘Inside No. 9’? It’s written by Reece Shearsmith and Steve Pemberton who wrote Psychoville and The League of Gentlemen. It’s a dark comedy but done in the vein of old shows like Tales of the Unexpected and Hammer House of Horror. Just watched the final one last night, it was the most macabre and darkest of them all.
I really like what Stewart Lee is saying about half an hour into this about some comedians who have no coherent worldview. So you don’t know where they stand on anything and with everything being ironic or absurd, comedy gets away with being sexist etc. He always comes out with some great insights and observations on things.
This interview with Tomas Jonsson of the legendary Swedish punk band Anti-Cimex was done by Pablo and Jarek to be published in Polish in a paper zine last month. I helped out with the translation and since I thought this interview would probably interest more people than the ones who are active in the Polish punk scene I simply asked if I could publish an English version here. I got the green light to do so, even if the people behind the Polish zine wanted me to wait a month before I could let all of you feast your eyes upon it. Well, here goes nothing, and yes you are welcome.
